Unwise Old people exist all over the place, as do old people lacking in the kind of experiences that lead to growth in character. You can drag as many of these people out as you want. I can drag out one wise experienced old person and challenge you to find a two year old that compares in experience and wisdom.

The proposition, as I understand it, is not that age automatically brings wisdom, but that it is a prerequisite.......
