Albert, this is a disaster for Intel. Even their most conservative guidance (revenues down 15%) was way to low (now actually down 25%). I don't think that this all can be contributed to the weak US economy. P4 sales must be way below projections and all those rebates don't help either. It probably wasn't the best choice to bet everything on one horse (P4).

Albert,

I guess Intel tried to save the quarter with the $200 rebates for the last weekend on computers (as some reported here) virtually giving the CPUs away for free (I guess recording revenues in the computational group, costs in the "other" group) but even that didn't help.
