you're right. he did say things were going to crap, the world of technology is ending sometime soon. intel sucks, dell sucks, the world sucks. the fed is full of it, and pc sales suck.

he also stated that although processor sales were down, relative revenue from other sources were down more. the relative percent of business dropped from processors is not as great as in other sectors. but, who really cares.

all us sucks either count units or revenue. Inel's net revenue from the same number of processor units are down relative to the shift from p3 to p4 due to price decreases. Dell's capturing market share, but is it enough? Merrill seems to think so. Otherwise, as you say, everything sucks.

Intel says now that they've retained their marketshare, problem is the P3; still expect P4 to be the fastest ramp in history. MPU Processor sales not off as much as communication orders. Intel losing some server sales to competition (they didn't say "competition", but Sun will tell us otherwise). Orders being deferred. Some outright cancellations. P4 demand appears to be there, but premature channel inventory reductions may have caused order discrepancies (i.e., competition gets the sale as Intel reserves product for largest customers). Said nothing of the 64/32bit Sun/Intel 'debate', but I suppose we can figure that out on our own.

You should be running for President.
