Scumbria,

P4 is the only thing they've had good, or at least neutral things to say about: Ramping as expected, on schedule. Still expect P4 to be the fastest ramping MPU in history. The good news is that MPU are not off as much as comm and servers, or is that the bad news?

Scumbria, Remember the Edsel? Not a bad product but premium priced and introduced at the beginning of a recession. I wonder if the P4 will be Intel's Edsel.

Scumbria, by your logic, each Pentium 4 must cost over $300 to manufacture.

But of course, that all depends on what your definition of "logic" is.
