flash would hurt amd's expectation but I disagree that "Overall the overall flash picture looks VERY bad".
My understanding was that contracts always pay less than the market. Contracts stabilize the unit demand and that allows for some price and revenue control. I guess that would eliminate some of the volatility.
Traditionaly all direct price control is handled via hedging.
If amd does not have hedging department yet I think they should create one
