Hi there FR...let me be more clear...

I did not write against MSFT, CSCO, EMC,etc...those are stocks in my long hold portfolio. I did sell half of my holdings in each, not at the top, but much high than todays prices.Most of that cash will go into real estate. The rest of the portfolio will be held long.

My buy/write portfolio is my SEPP-IRA account. I stated that the buy/write scenario help me weather the storm, I did not say I made money, but I didn't do that badly. That account is down 13% from last June 1st...which I don't feel all that bad about considering what the market in general has done. And when the market turns around, the account will grow quickly. I am currently buy/writing with GMST, QQQ, RMBS, SSTI and a little AVNX...
