Read Jessie Livermore's tome, REMINISCENCES OF A STOCK OPERATOR. He says to never average down...there is an old wall street saying, "Averaging down has killed more Jews than Hitler"

Never average down. It is one of the surest ways to go bankrupt.

Maybe I should not call it "averaging down"

let's call it "dollar cost averaging"
which is something they DO tell you
use as an investment style in all the
best business schools I've heard of...
