DRBES:

Correction accepted...Quite correct...Dirk has no peers as is apparent by AMD's meteoric ascent since his Athy was introduced to the market...

One of the swiftest and greatest transitions in business history is taking place as we speak as slippage from INTC to AMD accelerates...A $5 billion company has outflanked a $50 billion company on all fronts in the relatively short period of approximately 2 years... Absolutely astounding...and to think that you and Scumbria foresaw this swift evolution when Dirk made his initial Athy presentation in June 1999...A trio of futurists, methinks...(I'm sure there is a large supporting AMD cast as well)...The AMD story (remember the S&P debt downgrading and bankrupcy scare at the time Dirk made his June '99 Athy presentation) is truly a story of a Phoenix rising from the ashes...and yes Dirk is centre stage in this story, but this story doesn't happen without a superlative supporting AMD management and employee cast, and someone at the tiller to guide the ship thru 15 years plus of seeming competitor dirty tricks and the prescience to not only recognize Dirk's vision but to provide the environment for Dirk to work his vision...Mr. Sanders may not be conventional in the traditional sense, but then again, what "ground breaking" executive is???

Most executives live in the past (Paul syndrome???) while some like Mr. Sanders look to the future...Not all future looking executives succeed, but when they do, the rewards are breathtaking...Mr. Sanders, imho, is on the cusp of realizing breathtaking rewards...Patience, humility, foresight and perseverance, Mr. Sander's primary characteristics, are about to reap the long dreamed of dividends, methinks...
