re: How many of the poor will take an Alaskan cruise?

If they did take a cruise, they still wouldn't come anywhere near the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The cruises are all along the south coast (the pretty part of the state). To get to ANWR from there, you have to go north a few hundred miles, across a couple of big mountain ranges. ANWR is frozen at 50 below for 9 months of the year. The rest of the year, it melts into a flat, featureless, treeless bog, with mosquito clouds so dense the caribou get anemic. No tourists go to ANWR.
