Kash,

Yes, i believe these contract prices are very fungible.
They are and were a very good idea for AMD.
I recall that most of the contracts had up-front payments associated with them.
Basically there is some protection.
But not too much.


If something really hits the fan and the demand collapses, the long term contracts may provide the difference between selling (at a newly negotiated lower price) and not selling.
