Are you sure that PIII has an L1 cache? Does it have a TLB too? Are you sure that all memory accesses are not done through Andy Grove's modem?

BTW: How did Intel get itself in the position where they had no CPU to run existing Window's apps? Merced runs them like a 386. P4 runs them as well as Celeron.

Heads should roll at Intel marketing/engineering management. The product planning is a disaster.
