Niel, After hours market was apparently down, but not anywhere near the proportions this warning warrants, IMO. I would expect a bloodbath that would take AMD down with everything else (to 20 - 22 range), but maybe it will not be that bad. I can't see a single analyst who will not change his rating of Intel, so we may get the downgrades throughout the day, and maybe AMD will get some as well. Joe

Re: The Athwiper has turned into a veritable Intel Athkicker!! I wouldn't say that. Athlon has been a great product, and, coupled with the flash upturn, allowed AMD to go from near bankruptcy to high-margin profitability, but the Intel/AMD unit share break-down has been basically unchanged since the end of q4, 1999. Moreover, the still MIAthlon American corporate design win, lack of any server/MP products, continuing absence of a competitive notebook cpu cannot be called anything but disappointing, as well as a massive opportunity loss. -Eric
