Didn't someone earlier calculate that DoCoMo enrolled far more subscribers per month than what they expect from their 1999 version of WCDMA in a year? They absolutely destroyed their projections for i-mode....I vaguely remember reading that they figured they would have something like 10m subs by 2005. They have 20m in '01. Of course, with i-mode, handset availability wasnt an issue. However, it is encouraging to see that they are considering raising the forecast. It seems unlikely that they would do that if they were planning on pushing back the May date. Slacker
