flap Yes, I think the NRA should come out of their office in the white house and work up one of those seed money proposals to offer a variety of programs to schools and communities. They already do hunter safety and many other programs, but with the pulpit (bully or otherwise) of government cheering this on it may be more effective in reaching those who need it. The 2nd really doesn't resonate with the majority right now. For that matter maybe the 1st and 4th are in some jeopardy but at least they have the ACLU on the case.

flap, radical hate talk radio (as you describe it), has been exploring the issue in great depth for quite some time. It has also been discussed here by quite a few conservatives. Most of which no doubt supported the Presidential Republican candidate. Your input, and those of the "left wing porch" thread that I've read, have grossly oversimplified child violence, and have been unwilling to discuss anything about the issue beyond how we can blame the gun lobby, guns, and nothing but guns. Talk about a one track mind of thinking and examination. Besides, I believe many left wing Democratic party supporters would like nothing more than to go door to door and confiscate every gun in America. The fact that your party can't be honest about this quest, doesn't surprise me.
