another thing i wonder about is the effect of all these two-income households--2 people making 50-60K each and living 150K lifestyles (with a little help from a mortgage refi!). in the old days, when 6-figure salaries were mainly in single-income households, you could fire the top executives and it wouldn't be that many households. but now you have all these DINKs types working at schlocky companies down to their last round of VC cash and no hope of going public. as the economy contracts, that will mean a whole heckuva lot of "virtual 150K"-income households going down the tubes. economic effects are predicted by me to be the opposite of good.

in that vein... the touted bush tax cut won't even dent j6p's interest expense, let alone float the national boat....

you know, in order to receive your tax cut, you MUST be willing to spend it.

If you choose to save it instead, your taxes automatically will double (penalty clause, fine print)

the tax cut will have as much an effect as AG's money press...and worse, sinks the US further in the debt hole and social nightmare of an unrefinanced social security....

lunacy!

<<j6p is getting squeezed left and right, and i think he has to borrow to pay his bills now...>>

Excellent time to "reform" the federal bankruptcy laws, wouldn't you say?<G>
