That is what I meant. When I said "news about economy/earnings", I was referring to news giving us clues about a rebound. Right now there is none. All we hear is how bad things are and "zero visibility" into the future.

And with all due respect to Marty Zweig, it is not a certainty that the market will rebound just because rates are going down and the Fed is pumping liquidity. I admit that there is a very good chance that it will do so eventually, but not necessarily right away. We've had 100 basis points cut + another guaranteed 50 and the market has ignored that and moved lower -- that to me is more telling than anything else.

In this kind of environment, I'd rather miss the first few months of a bull market than try to get in at the very bottom.
