Well the GAP is classic i think of it as ivy league. it is more conservative and does in my mind cater to the business crowd. Abercrombie's i think appears to be more into let if fly free mode.

Costco is an excellent indicator because it has quantity of products, so when pockets are tight people start buying one can instead of six.
Costco here has revamped to a full service deli.
They just opened a new one in Manhatten Beach and it appears there is less traffic at this new store than was at the one it replaced.

I wished prices would subside but they haven't as of yet. Looking at unemployment in tech the lay offs are staggered i imagine few will draw unemployment. If they are highly in debt pending on their positions and those that are reduced by the company this could amount to a make it on your own or go broke type thing for many.

From my view I only see that prices have spiraled because of tech and the slow down is not going to be felt immediately. I see a slow down in tech employment in CA yet no reduction in prices to off set the anticipation of increased cost of operating here here due to utility increases.
