mb, the net has created a HUGE shift in consumer behavior. shoving ads down peoples' throats doesn't work well on the net. why? i can hit a bookmark or two and check the 100 lowest prices for that product.

what matters is the content of the ad. if you aren't the lowest cost sellers with a decent reputation, you are toast.

i have argued that reducing consumer ignorance is *bad* for business over the last three years. i've seen nothing to prove me wrong. compare margins on net companies vs b&m companies. b&m companies win *hands down*. why? folks don't have easy access to information whil in a b&m store. they buy what they need. the effort required to save $2.00 costs more than $2.00 in inconvenience. not so on the net.

i know very wealthy folks who *love* to brag about their net *deals*.
