Re: "What do you think ..." About all it shows is that exit polling is an art, not a science. The answer to many of these problems is to conduct elections over two days on weekends, on, say, the second Saturday-Sunday in November. (Has anyone ever explained to anyone's satisfaction why Tuesday is the best day for conducting elections?) All the polls would be open for 12 hours Saturday everywhere and 6 hours Sunday. All polls would close at the same time on Sunday (6 p.m. EST, 3 p.m. PST)-- excepting Alaska and Hawaii. But this will never come about because it makes too much sense.
