That is an excellent point about not attempting to fight the trend by betting on "strong" tech stocks in light of what is generally happening.

It did not work to fight the trend and be short on the way up, and it won't work now that the market is on the way down.

And is this a possible contrary indicator? The Ameritrade index shows 91% bullish, we saw what happened after the last time this index was so bullish on Friday the other week.

Lots of buys - 29.94% Cisco, 21.42% Sun, 15.72% Oracle.

Do we really have to wait for significant declines that are *not* accompanied by Ameritrade bullishness?
