Glenn:

This is a commentary from Randy Little, Business Reporter for Radio station KNX1070, Los Angeles. He basically stated (not verbatim):

"If you are delivery truck driver and repeatedly hit telephone poles, or you are a surgeon and keep amputating the wrong leg, you'll be out of the job. Not so for a stock analyst. Take the case of Henry Blodget, Senior Intrenet Analyst at Merrill Lynch, who has been compensated millions of dollars for his poor recommendation. Mr Blodget does not have an MBS, he does not even have a MAster's Degree. He has a BA in History and started as an analyst at CIBC Oppenheimer. He moved to Merrill Lynch and occupy a senior position. He gained fame when he said that Amazon would reach 400 when it was trading at 240. Amazon reach that 400 level but stayed only briefly
Amazon is now trading at 12. On the average Blodget recommendation drops 79 %. Merrill Lynch states that Henry Blodget is a person woth absolute integrity."

There you are: Blodget, a person with absolute integrity. But to me he is stupid. Sometimes stupid persons occupy top positions: That is the Peter principle.

How about e-mailing Merrill Lynch and complain about Henry. We can also write email to CNBC, Attn Ted Davvid since he is the most fair and accomodating feedback. Better yet, we should send Ted David either through PM or post on CNBC critique on SI. Here is Ted David's profile on SI:
