<I printed only the very best pictures out of literally hundreds I took. Sure beats getting a bunch of crappy looking pictures back from Wal-Mart.>

I figure the digi cam thing pays off a few ways. One, you can take AS MANY pix as you want. You're not wasting film. Two, you know immediately if a pic turns out - instead of waiting for development. If there are four people, and one blinks - just retake the pic. Three, you don't end up wasting money printing bad pix.

I joined Costco this weekend (thru my brother-in-law's business). They did have the Olympus 3000. It's a very nice camera for $650. I may end up going for a higher end. The Powershot looks like one heck of a camera.

Rocky, thread - which website is better for reviews - Steves or dpreview? I was looking at the Kodak DC4800 (it is VERY cheap right now - 3.3 megapixels - and with the $100 Kodak rebate, it can be had for UNDER $400!!). Steves says "great" - dpreview says "less than average". dpreview seems to be more technical.

TIA,

Dave
