3/10/01 - Latest AMD CPUs Thank those of you with the latest TBirds for sending me the data I've asked for, if you haven't done this yet, I'd appreciate it if you do, just to get a better idea of which codes do what. You don't have to send CPUID, though, the numbers reported are exactly the same as for my old Blue Meanie 750s. However, the air-cooled numbers I'm getting are in the 1400 at least half the time, and closing in on 1500. If you buy a TBird or Duron anytime soon, please do me a favor and write the code down before you install, and enter it when you input a record into our CPU database. AMD looks to be making a number of different varieties of CPUs that have rather differing overclocking speeds, and matching up the codes to the performance is the only shot we have at figuring out which is best.
