too bad lnux doesn't make any money selling linux. they are a hard core hardware company w/o the wherewithall or talent to get the job done. stock surpassed a 99% fall from its high in 18 months.

OUCH.

Alias/Wavefront Ships Maya 3 For Linux

Linux Version of Maya Comes at Request of Game
Development, Film and Visual Effects Communities
biz.yahoo.com

The porting of a major professional development application suite like the Alias|Wavefront(TM) Maya
programs in another chink in the demand for msft stuff.
Linux has a 2x to 3x performance advantage and a 10x stability advantage of msft viri OSes du jour. Every
day the mindshare in unix/linux increases relative to msft.

This is not anti msft, this is just what is happening. msft has no power to extort the installation of msft on shipped hardware. In general I see the linuxifacation of mindshare as a positive for all companies unix/linux
and not helpful to revenue growth at msft.
