If somebody wants to daytrade with ten grand that's their business just the same if that person wants to go to Vegas and put it all on the red.

That is exactly one of if not the main basis a protest should be based on. The government has no jurisdiction or right to know if a person saved some crazy money to decide to blow at a casino or day trade. The NASD and SEC regulations are written to protect the customer from the firm and to insure the customer has all the information to make an informed decision.

I question the legality of the "know your customer rule" that is mandated for the firm and not the casino.
