Sorry, JDN, I have too much self-respect to parade around in a borrowed hardhat at a staged GW rally just so that I can reduce my tax bill by a few thousand bucks five years down the road. I will never make a very good Republican.

And as for the special interests, Senator Reid got it right today. This tax cut, while being paraded around as some type of populist measure, is of course a big thank you to GW's big-money contributors.

Of course, in the end, any tax cut law that is enacted will look nothing like what the yes-men in the House passed. It is already clear that GW's leadership isn't up to holding on to his own party members in the Senate. The bill that leaves the Senate will have triggers that will never get pulled due to the reduced revenues we will see under the GW imploding economy.
