i like the idea that Japan will eventually see a radical shift...it's practically inevitable. to continue the muddle through policies of the past decade seems pointless.

They used the FDR model of massive public works projects that was so successful in defeating the Great Depression. At least, that was at the US's urging as was the economic reforms in the Russia.
