Here's an up-to-date chart of the Nasdaq on roughly the same time scale, without all the "assumptions" drawn in. While it appears the guy was a bit overoptimistic in drawing the upward channel, it does appear to me that if you sort of average out the lumps, the broad downtrend may be decelerating.
