Re Monetary Aggregates, M1, M2, etc:
Back in the 70s, I used to chart M1 and M2 vs Economic growth, Fed actions, etc. When I started following the Market again after the 87 Crash, I found that things had gotten more complicated because of changes in the financial world - M1 and M2 no longer reliably served as leading economic indicators.

My question: Do you have any chart of a monetary aggregate that shows a leading indicator relationship with the economy in recent years?

dale ---could you provide a link to the money supply numbers ? They might not be useful all of the time but i agree they indicate that the FED is providing ample liquidity for the market to rebound . We really need to see earnings estimates turn around or stopped going lower to trigger at least a partial rebound . Again any help would be appreciated
