Crystal Ball,
Corporate IT spending is what fueled the growth in technology over the last 5 years. IT spending reached 60% of capital expenditures. What we are experiencing now is a shift in capital spending back to areas which more directly contribute to earnings. When we come out of this slowdown IT spending will probably revert to a long-term trend of 40%.
