That means we need a new crop of analysts and intelligent reports from them. It might happen, but for now I think it will be a trading market for many months. Since there will be much disagreement about valuations. ANd the news of the day will point in contradictory directions for a while.

This idea that it is safe to invest in the "leaders" seems to me to be the most dangerous perspective. The only answer to investing now seems to be to really understand valuation and how it applies to a specific company, the economic context and how it affects the industry of that company, and a good deal about the company itself. BS about "the leaders" does not cut it any more.
