Claude:

What can be expected of bullion lease rates on Monday AM? A previous poster quoted Kaplan as saying that Friday evening trading in New York saw shorter term lease rates explode to 14%. This is about 100% up from the afternoon close! Is this credible? What sort of daily and /or total lease rate increases have you seen in the past? For instance in the most often cited fall of 99 Au rally- what sort of daily increases were seen in lease rates? How high did lease rates actually reach? Were / are these explosive lease rates unwound as rapidly as they increase or is it likely to be a more gradual process? On what does this depend?
