PRESS RELEASE May 10, 2001 Corporate Office: #SRU-06-01 Suite 420-625 Howe Street Vancouver, BC CANADA SRU.CDNX SRFDF - OTC BB V6C 2T6 SRFDF - OTC BB Tel: (604) 608-0400 Fax: (604) 608-0344 Toll Free: (877) 233-2244 email: info@starfieldres.com website: starfieldres.com Ferguson Lake Nickel-Copper-Cobalt-Platinum-Palladium Project, Nunavut, Canada 2001 EXPLORATION PROGRAM EXPANDS HIGH-GRADE ZONE INTERSECTING 25.6 METRES OF MASSIVE SULPHIDE Starfield Resources Inc. is pleased to report results from the first drill hole completed during the year 2001 exploration program at Ferguson Lake, Nunavut, Canada. Drill hole FL01-68 was drilled as a 120-meter easterly stepout to the same depth as FL00-67, the last hole drilled in the year 2000. The new intersection confirms that grade and thickness of the massive sulphides are increasing with depth in the target anomaly. The second hole recently completed in 2001, FL01-69, has tested the horizon 80 meters downdip of FL01-68 and the massive sulphide intersections are presently being split in preparation for transport to the assay lab. Drill Hole FL01-70 is currently drilling to test the zone 80 meters downdip of FL00-67, the richest intersection encountered in the year 2000 program. The UTEM conductor remains open at depth and untested to the west for 2. 5 kilometers. Further testing of the conductor at depth will continue to be the focus of the current drilling. To date only 20% of the known conductor has been tested.
