hjm, i've appreciated your discussion here. i don't wish ill on anyone. i don't think america goes busto. i do think that the clear excesses (one decision to a life of riches) have to be burned off. i do think we pay dearly for the explosion in money supply. i think we pay dearly for running up massive lines of credit.

iow, we will pay for our national irresponsibility.

we will survive, but in a much more normal environment.
