Its amazing how although the indices look horrendous, the individual charts look 3 times as bad :) I also believe that if.. or I should say WHEN CSCO warns, you might not want to read the PR :).. A few months ago I defended the company and Chambers saying how well managed they were and how any slowdown would be orderly blah blah.. but now I honestly believe they are going to shock people with how bad business has gotten. Another interesting thought was yesterdays close.. We tried several times to rally, and stocks like Intc and Amat really acted strong considering.. but there simply isnt enough buyers.. Id be real curious to see what the short interest is in the NAZ at close Friday the 9th.. Ill bet its down substantially from last month, and if thats the case- the market will be relying quite heavily on buyers to find the bottom rather than short covering. Lets be honest- how many of us are holding the majority of our shorts for over 3 months now? Im still upset I didnt short after the damn tie in the presidency!!!! oh well.. im just babbling as always but I really cant even begin to pretend I really know how to navigate these markets.. I spend countless hours reading posts from Velo, Shark, Softechie, Zeeve, Tom H, Tatrader- so many many others you would die if you saw my bookmarks :) but one thing I CAN be proud of is that I have made it through these last 6 months without a sleepless night, and my account has inched ever so slightly in the right direction.. so although im not making a killing like some are on the volatility, im still holding ever so tightly onto my green :) Funny- I never saw anyone mention this but I will say that I enjoy these market conditions much more than I did the last 5 years.. I remember a few instances looking at the CNBC tickers 'most advanced' on TV and seeing shi* like EBAY $145, up $32, RBAK 140, up $60.. etc etc etc.. Who the hell could make sense of THAT??? money management money management and money management.. Everything else is just tea leaves, gambling, and ego :)
