Agree. Good post.

Today's "San Jose Mercury News" is worth getting a copy if you can. BAD NEWS all about Cisco and NASDAQ front and back pages and that is not even the business section!

A year ago they could not print enough stories about how much money people were making, monstor houses, IPO's ,etc...

Today it looks like "San Jose Armageddon News".

This is why they call it "News" and not "Predicting the Future" btw... 8)

Mr.GJ - Great post. I think you are more right then wrong. We'll know in time.

Commentators read what they are told. If there is little significant news they try and create some drama. When I hear them dramatically saying "Stocks are dropping ....." followed by some single digit number I hit the off button.

I'm waiting for the day a commentators will say "There is no significant news today. Stock averages are flat. Go to a movie, take your significant other out to dinner, talk with your children, and enjoy the evening."

Well thought out post MrGreenJeans.
I would be careful with huge cap stocks with High PE's however. Historically, the great ones grow and grow in spite of high PE's until they become huge caps. Consider Polaroid - PE over 50, 40% growth for years on end. And then it became a huge cap and poof!

Just my 2 cents. Good luck in executing your well thought out plan.

Mr. GJ:
Good post and good to hear your reasoned opinions. I have missed your wisdom. Perhaps you have been posting all along, but I just happened to tune in today after months of absence from this and the other BB forums. I dropped out when the messages seemed to degenerate into nothing more than unproductive whining from those with an anti-BB agenda. If they can't stand the guy, then why don't they turn off the radio, unsubscribe to the newsletter and try to get a life? They remind me very much of the turkey buzzards currently circling high in the bright blue California sky outside my home/office window, hoping and praying that something will die soon so they can swoop down and pick the carcass clean. Fortunately, I've got more productive and profitable ways to spend my time.
