KT, so do you agree with the Beach Boys " wish they all could be California girls"? The forever bears are starting to look prescient. Hell hath no furry like a credit bubble burst. Mike

Just an irreverent Saturday night message to say that every time I see "Knighty Tin" I imagine the Tin Woodsman with a tin sword and a tin shield. But maybe I will get over it.

I sure hope you still stand by your prediction that "the Dow will cut through 8000 like a hot knife through buttter" and that it will, because if it does I will have a 150% gain on my puts.

Gee, it looks like the Beach Boys are something else we have in common. I didn't WANT to love the Beach Boys -- I spent much of my youth trying not to get ostracized by surfers in California.

But I think Brian Wilson is the most talented composer in pop history, and Pet Sounds is the greatest album. And of course, those guys could harmonize.

I'm going to the tribute to Brian Wilson at Radio City Music Hall, where he is going to perform Pet Sounds in its entirety with a full orchestra. Some of the folks paying tribute include Elton John, Paul Simon, Ann & Nancy Wilson (Heart), Matthew Sweet (a great pop artist heavily influence by B.W.). I'd be surprised if Paul McCartney doesn't show up.
