One has to take much of what "star-gazers", like Clive Roffey, say with the proverbial pinch. Actually, the Dow Composite has been going upwards for some time, while the NAZ has been falling. There certainly doesn't seem to be particular weakness in the Index.

It's surprising to see that $SPX (S&P500) has lately been much weaker than Dow Composite (See the Relative Strength charts) although in 1999 it was stronger.

I note on late Friday pm, "everything" took a hit --- not only XAU.
