Here is a PM I got, and got permission to post. I bolded the part I think the most... somehow... perfectly illustrative of...

well, you can see what it illustrates:

Had to tell you about this. I was just in the cube of a fundie Xian here. He now has hunting posters up. The dichotomy struck me. Killing animals for fun is OK, but killing fetuses so as not to screw up the rest of your life is not? And I like animals. Actually, I love 'em, particularly dogs, but all others also, so I'm not positively impressed by his choice of "art".
Another choice piece about this guy is that he has been trying for months to get management to make another employee remove a large Buddha statue next to his (the other employee's) desk. It's a heathen idol, right? Management is having none of this.) What is particularly ironic is that mixed in with his "shoot Bambi" posters are... CHRISTIAN POSTERS! Also, this guy has put up numerous ads for his church and a Bible study group on various walls and in various hallways. But that's different, of course, since he is promoting THE ONE TRUE
FAITH.

From where I stand, this clown is simply demanding exclusive advertising rights.

However, there are numerous Asians and consequently numerous Buddhists working here, the unemployment rate in the valley is still about 2% (probably half that for techies), and management just can't see the point of pissing them off to please a nutcase.

The easy answer for communists is bashing Christians and others do-gooders while advocating government control over people's personal possessions. It's the NYT way.

Of course not quite as easy as maintaining two SI accounts these days, right?
