So now Brinker is saying that 450,000 jobs have been lost in the manufacturing sector since last summer, while no net change elsewhere, like in service related jobs. Greenspan doesn't seem to care about where the recession is. Couple of points:

1. R&D jobs lost at companies like Intel and Cisco would fall under "manufacturing jobs" because those companies are considered manufacturing vs. service companies. Just what we need, and Asia and Japan Inc. would love to replace those jobs.

2. Can he continue to ignore high tech layoffs because there don't seem to be any in areas like garbage pickup and flower or theater reservations? Wonder what differentiates this country from all the rest, the tech or the flowers?

Maybe I'm too close and can't see the forest for the trees because of the industry I work in, but could be that he's killing this country, and now Bob Brinker is saying it.
