I agree ----
We need more doom and gloom------

Especially cause they closed lousy on Friday, and appear to be headed much lower....

No sheeeeet, I hear nothing but battered bulls trying to place their reserve funds on the long side. I figure we are about parallel to the Nikkei at 28m 10 years ago on the way down. Nobody wants to accept that the whole system is flawed. When the permabulls are talking about which automatic weapons to buy, I'll start getting interested. Tim

KIS, I think I saw somewhere that Zeef is one of the most bookmarked posters on SI, so it's not surprising that's he's attracted a few new posters ...

As you point out, they're certainly not clowns for the most part, and I don't think they're saying "forever", just "for now". Both Allan and Earlie have posted here in recent days that they are for entertaining and obtaining all points of view, and I totally agree ... bear market rallies are known for being vicious affairs wherein the bear attempts to eat her young. <ng>

Keepit, I have not seen yet a post here proclaiming the end of the bear market, the most bullish sentiment (my own, I fear) is that we may get a bear market rally, ending by the middle of next month and probably not much above 2600 on the Naz (I have a nominal top at 2650, with a max exposure to the short at 2850, safely under the January highs.) The nature of the beast is that it has to catch up its breath, a good catalyst (apart of the five I mentioned earlier) could also be a bounce from the bottom of the Bollinger bands (actually a reflection of "catalyst 1", an oversold condition).
