Tony ---Good Morning -- have not talk to Ann since the first of the year ---Hopefully she and her family are surviving the winter in Nebraska .
Here are some numbers from a post on another thread about the money supply :

M3 M2 M1 MZM
4 week 14.5% 13.2% 5.1% 31.6%
13 week 14.9% 10.9% 6.2% 21.2%
1yr 10.2% 7.8% 0.0% 11.9%

20 yr avg 6.4% 5.8% 5.2% 8.9%

Seems the FED is doing the same thing that help cause the bubble in 1999 and 2000 .They are pumping liquidity in the system to keep from having a severe recession in the whole economy . Hopefully this will have a more positive effect than the interest rate cuts and the small tax cut they are talking about in Congress . What we need is some CEO saying they are seeing the bottom of the channel and orders are not deteriating anymore . This would be a big boost emotionally for the market place .
The one thing I still do not understand is how INTC and the rest of the big companies could miss their revenue forecasts by 25% ? With just in time to control inventories and costs how come the food chain did provide INTC with a much faster indication that the market place was disappearing so fast .? It is funny that CNBC spends so much time on analysts forecasts ( negative ) and emphasizing the earnings warnings that why do they not go back and look at what cause the revenue forecasts to be off so much ? Was it demand dropping off so much , was it over capacity in the technology industry ( as The FED would like us to believed ) , was it the raising of interest rates to fight oil inflation ( By the way OPEC will cut production again this week ---Greenspan use this as an excuse to target the market because he has no control over oil unless he puts the world in a recession ) ? I find it hard to believed that the companies could miss forecasts by that much ---something else was at play and I would like to understand for the future so I will not play this game again .
Wish I had more cash to take advantage of the market . Would appreciate your thoughts

BEST WISHES
BILL
