"This board is now almost 100% bearish"

Thinking we are close to the end I have been incrementally adding to EMC and JDSU, as well as initiating positions in QCOM and VRSN.

The negative sentiment seems to be pervasive all over SI which I view as s positive indicator.

This Monday, my better half and I will be off to Paris for two weeks. I sure hope the market is in better shape when I get back.

Here's a bright spot in this land of ghouls... right at the end of an article that says the Nasdaq has about a snowball's chance in hell of rising:

dailynews.yahoo.com

There are some bright spots.

TeleGeography, a Washington, D.C.-based research firm, said the amount of fiber optic cable on the ocean floor will have risen more than 40-fold in the three years ending 2002 -- enough for 250 million simultaneous phone calls -- but even a small drop in price should increase usage

A 50 percent drop in the price of bandwidth has prompted some Internet Service Providers to buy 100 percent or more of additional capacity, TeleGeography said in a research note.
