OT OT OT You are welcome to rant any time.
I do it frequently myself. gggg
You should se the Email I got for that comment, calling me an arrogant *&%^&% so and so.
My understanding and I may be incorrect is there has not been a contract for some time. So why now?

Perhaps there was a "Gentleman's Agreement" that I did not know about that was not honored. If so, I
1) Am not surprised (I have had it with corporate America)
2) Feel sorry for those that got screwed

I was on a contract for Chase to install a very sophisticated banking system. We were 80% complete and all of a sudden we well all hurried into a big meeting. Since we were ahead of schedule, some people thought it was congratulations or something. I thought what now?

A woman director walked in and said: "Well a year ago we never thought we would be this far along, it is a testomonial as to how skilled you are and how hard you have been working.....(pause-no words) BUT we decided that we have better things to do with our money and as of noon today the project is canceled." This is a 100% accurate quote.

As a contractor one expects these things, but on that 1 sentence, this director turned and headed for the door. Did not even ask if there were any questions. Someone chimed in with one anyway and asked ... What about us employees?
The response was "Sorry, someone will get back to you later" and she continued out the door.

This was during a merger talk so they wanted to to cut every possible expense. So they just stopped the thing right before completion, 1 month to go. 5000 people were fired immediately, but they elected to keep the boards of directors of both banks (of course) 2 of the biggest boards of directors of any banks in the country.

My wife is going through similar BS with Wards right now. Above a certain level, they retained all severance rights. My wife just missed the cut (but she has been there over 20 years!). Her severance time was reduced by 60% as part of some horseshit that GE insisted on. Another few grades below it was nothing (again no matter how long one was there.

When GE tanks I want to be in PUTs for sure. If ZEEV give me a good entry I will take it. I want a piece of "the general" when it goes down. PS GE owned ward if you did not know. GE dictated bonuses, settlements etc.

I hate corporate america with a passion.
