I don' t know any for free on line service that gives you stock prices back that far. Our very own SI will give stock prices for some big, widely traded stocks back into 1968, e.g., T. But it doesn't have anything for X that far back. That may not be the symbol US steel used back then. A lot of big companies have their stock quotes on their website going way back, again using T as an example I think it is back to around 1900.

S&P Comstock is a fee service - I remember back in 1998 I had a couple of CD-ROMs that had historical data from Comstock but don't know where they are anymore.
