I don't think it's a question of tech appears grim. Tech earnings appear grim. Blah blah blah. I think it's a question of why invest in paper at all. Why invest in a company at all. If the whole entire system is rigged. If the whole financial structure that the world has come to believe in, and trust in, If that whole system is flawed, and rigged, and what we have come to believe as true, Is in fact false, then why invest in paper, at all. Why even bother. If that's the case then investing in sprockets that don't exist is the same as inveesting in a 10th generation pentium that is mass produced from the ground up in 3 months. If that's the case then it doesn't matter if a company has an ebay business plan, a yahoo business plan or a readrite business plan with R and D out the YING YANG. If that's the case then none of it matters. If that's the case then it doesn't matter what an analyst says or who an analysts blows or what any body knows, who anybody knows, or any of it. If that's the case then it doesn't really matter if threads disappear from SI and POSTS evaporate and people are shot over the whole thing, If that's the case then none of it really matters. If it's all a farce then people are not going to want to have anything to do with it. IF it's all a farce than nobody really cares.. If it was a farce at the top. it's a farce at the bottom. If it was a farce when the brokers were doing IPO's then it's still a farce when the brokers are not doing IPO's. If it was a farce when the brokers were selling billion in options than it's a farce when they are not selling billions in options. If it's a farce when stocks get jacked around at options expiration then it's a farce when they are not doing that. If it's a farce then it's a farce, If the Nasdaq is a farce then the Nasdaq is a farce. If what we've come to believe in is a farce, then what we've come to believe in is a farce. If the financial structure of the world is a farce. then it's a farce. Hard to believe. Actually.
