For SI, Jeff and Brad, and the new owners, their policy was simple for allowing us to post our links: 1)STAYING on one thread and GIVING POSTERS a lot of free services, charts and interest much like a free site on briefing.com or Wall Street City was providing. 2) The Market Gems thread succeeded for 4 years not because we advertised but because we OFFERED THREADER A WHOLE LOT OF GOOD USEFUL AND TIMELY INFORMATION. Not because of anything else. We would simply not be where we are today if we failed, everyone knows this and so do the bands on the other threads. Its very clear, no one strong armed anyone here. We undertand very very well what motivated this tirade over advertising. So who cares, ban it, its good for everyone. Lashing out is a way to vent frustration so we accept it. We and SI were not born yesterday. The grapes taste sour for some posters on the other "Stepford Thread" and it does take on a distinct tinge of green. (who is viper chick? who is this one or that). .. The same fringe follows the help and welcome threads, attacking, getting attacked in turn and getting into the ditches and rolling in the mud. There are plenty of successful people in the world, going after them is quite a full time job and it doesn't pay well. I could not care less if anyone made $3,000,000 a year or $30,000,000. Work hard and be the best you can be becase otherwise you will be eaten up from within by bitterness. Focus on improvement, hard work, study, lessons learned. 3) SI contact in the last few years, months, weeks and days has only been: You are doing a very professional job and this thread is the vision of what the Dryer brothers wanted when they began SI. I still have every pm and e-mail from Jeff Dryer, SI Bob, and now the new staff. This is a thought provoking thread with a lot of fine posters who actual share something which unusual for SI.. mutual self respect, admiration and success. We had no enmity within so after seeing this much success, especially in the last year, enmity wanted to infiltrate from without. But don't blame SI or this thread, when agendas are so obviously shallow and transparent and very shoddy at best. Another criteria was to stay on one thread which we did (not like others with burgeoning websites with varying degrees of success moved on and on creating numerous sites), That is why after 4 years we still are flying high, very high. And we didn't have to make 5 identities, get suspended even once or move off this thread for that distinction. We expect hassles, it goes with the territory of success. But we don't intend to have the 'hassle' puncture our unity. not even for a moment. .. This is the last off topic post I intend to make and this thread is NOT a forum for airing anything except stock selection. So why don't you improve and work on your own success instead of wasting your efforts on "Mission Impossible" endeavors. You can make 16 new threads or 26, eventually they will all fade into the "Incredible Shrinking Thread" like the last 25 you all made. As for the MG thread We'll still be here just like now. Now that is the end of that for this thread. Any further comments to to the Stepford Thread, they have setting up support services, venting areas, or whatever to handle this topic. You don't even need an appointment, or wait in a queue, its a walk-in clinic. Just don't come here. Our threaders have more pressing concerns like the probable continuing market crash, what we will do next week, and on which stocks and sectors to focus on. Any off topic posts will CONTINUE to be ignored. We have too much to do during the session.
