Chas: I had my say and you had your say. There was no reason to rebut your rebuttal. After two posts, we're talking greatly diminished returns on knowledge anyway. You made a couple of points in your rebuttal but you were way off target on other stuff. With so many points to argue, i.e., the illegitimacy of the Bush administration in light of the Palm Beach newspaper report, the failure of the Bush administration to get off to a good start with our Arab allies, the fact that Bush's tax plan is dead in the water in the Senate, the fact that one of Cheney's chief people had close ties to Rich of Pardongate fame ... the board is better served by covering a wide range of important topics rather than to narrow its focus on the specific reasons behind the tremendous peace and prosperity we experienced between '94 and '00 while Bill Clinton was president. Don't read too much (i.e. flatter yourself) into the fact that I didn't reply to your reply. Nobody's keeping score here, hence no need for words from you such as "shame," "embarrassed," "pity." I prefer to base my arguments on fact, not emotion.
