Michael- Actually, that stat really surprised me....surely, that can't be on a net basis, but some sort of %.....even still, that's an eye-opener...

Fear levels are not there yet....but Tic.O did register a -1047 on Friday...put/call...$BPCOMPQ moving up....hell, even Ameritrade index buying was near 100% on Friday.....

If they jack the futures Monday, I'll definently jump short on some weaker stocks for mornign...but, regardless we're due for some sort of bounce here....question is: Is it worth playing? (given risk)...I'd like to see a break of 2000, and panic...that would make things a bit safer for a short-term long play..

Unless you can (1) post a link to back up your statement about margin levels, and (2) find some data on how much of that margin is being used in shorting, I'm not taking you very seriously.

If margin levels have risen recently, I am absolutely certain it is related to shorting. Which, as you know, always requires use of margin.
