Rudolph Respond to of 164685 glenn, why do you continue to be the apologist? why do you continue to kiss as? when you've been nothing but screwed over following the piper's rats to the river???? i just don't get it !@!@! I am sorry Rob but I do not kiss ass. I do not even like the term. At the risk of being insulting and I try not to be insulting; I am not one to wine and complain about mistakes I made to others. I learn to deal with them, face them and make a decision how I can improve myself and in this case, my financial position. I do not blame others for my losses or errors. I may talk about my lossess or errors but more so as a critigue to my own lack of knowledge. On the other hand, it seems to me that you want to blame Bill Harmond, Mark Fowler and some others for your financial losses during the last twelve months. There is only one person to blame and that is you. The market movements which are from a lot of cross currents that make a cause and effect are difficult to understand. I was/am of the opinion the market was way too high in 1998 and in particular, the dot coms. My timing to play the market down was really poor. As much as I hate the fact there was a "mania" as some called it and recdiculous valuations as I call it, there is not much I can do about it now. I could point fingers at the Fed. I could point fingers at the analysts. I could point fingers at the people that were bullish on SI. The finger should be pointed at me for not protecting capital. It seems to me your were long Ebay if I recall and maybe Qcom during this large rise. It also seemed you made a decent amount of money on the way up. I heard through posts of yours in public here about you buying or building another house in the northwest. You once made a post that you could not afford to work. You bragged about the money you made and it came across to me that you were taking full credit for that financial windfall. Now the market has a downward momentum in the at least the sector is which you state you are invested in the most. Is it the fault of others you lost some of your money or even much of it? You never had to be in the market on the long side on the way up nor on the long side on the way down. It is clear to me that you were lucky making the money you made on the way up. However, you want credit for that and all of us on SI to be aware of those gains. Now you have lost money on the way down. For some reason, that is not your fault. If you want my real opinion, I find you to be whining about your losses and you seem to want to blame them on someone else. I would rather be me than you. I do not sit here bragging about my networth. I do not whine. I continue to work at my real job with earnest because I pride in what I do. I maybe should have been in the market either and I still can exit. I could that tomorrow at 9:30 AM. These are choices i make but an ass kisser, not me. I am polite to those that I feel a friendship with or believe I have such a friendship and treat them with respect. On the other hand, cross me in business by trying to take advantage of me, and you will see a person that is not an "apologist." I suppose I consider myself self sufficient. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt but I am not nearly as meek as you apparently believe. I am also not braggart except I am proud of how I run my business so I share those thoughts with people I know. proud and bragiing are not the same. You have a problem losing money you did not deserve in the first place so get over it. If you really deserved it, you would not have lost it. I recommedn you whine at Rob Rose. He is the culprit here and no one else. Glenn
